AI Ethics in Action

Practical guardrails for learning, teaching, and deploying AI—so people stay first, and tools stay tools.

Transparency

We disclose models, data sources (when known), and limitations in plain language—no jargon shields.

Equity

Access by design: cost, bandwidth, language, and accommodations considered and measured.

Agency

Opt-in use with clear off-switches. Students and teachers keep control over their work and data.

Curriculum Alignment

AI supports authentic learning and standards—never replaces reasoning, writing, or assessment integrity.

Human Connection

Relationships & critical thinking come first. Discussion and reflection are built into every program.

What We Do (in practice)

  • Data minimization: collect only what serves the learning objective.
  • Privacy by default: student data remains private; no third-party resale.
  • Bias reviews: pre/post checks on prompts, outputs, and rubrics to reduce bias.
  • Age-appropriate guardrails: content filters and teacher controls.
  • Disclosure labels: AI-assisted work is clearly labeled in class.
  • Model rotation policy: periodic re-evaluation of tools and vendors.
  • Incident playbook: clear steps for reporting, triage, and parent notice.
